FREE ANONYMIZER EMAIL:
TOP SECURITY ANONYMOUS SPEECH
LA MESA, CALIFORNIA -- Anonymizer, Inc., world leader of comprehensive
anonymity services, proudly announces its new, easy-to-use Anonymizer
Email. Anonymizer Email gives high-security anonymous communication to
people everywhere. The free, web based service lets everyone use the
world-wide Mixmaster network, originally authored by Anonymizer, Inc.
President, Lance Cottrell.
To use Anonymizer Email, simply type the message, and the recipient
e-mail address into the web form. When you click send, Anonymizer Email
takes care of all the encryption and forwarding, from the convenience of
your regular web viewing window.
"In the past, anonymous email was available only to the technical elite.
Anonymizer Email brings the highest level of security to a simple web
form which anyone can use," said Mr. Cottrell. "The ability to speak
anonymously is often equivalent to the ability to speak freely. The
anonymous remailers we developed already provide a conduit for thousands
of whistle-blowers and political dissidents. With the new web interface,
we hope to help ten times as many."
Anonymizer Email gives a voice to everyone, world-wide. You can report
fraud or corruption, publish biting political commentary, or send poems
as a secret admirer. Have you ever wanted to tell your division manager
why the policies don't work, but are scared you'll be fired? Would you
like to report racism, violence, or crime without danger to your person?
How many times have you kept silent from fear?
Anonymity founded the United States, when American leaders published
nameless political pamphlets and anonymous letters in newspapers.
Justice John Stevens of the U.S. Supreme Court delivered the majority
opinion in the 1996 McIntyre v. Ohio Election Commission case judgment,
which overthrew an Ohio state law banning anonymous pamphlets. Stevens
wrote, "Anonymity is a shield from the tyranny of the majority... It
thus exemplifies the purpose behind the Bill of Rights, and of the First
Amendment in particular: to protect unpopular individuals from
retaliation -- and their ideas from suppression -- at the hand of an
intolerant society." Improvement through public discussion is the way of
freedom, and Anonymizer Email protects your opinion in the new human
forum called the Internet.
"Anonymizer Email is based on the Mixmaster anonymous remailer system,
the most secure remailer in the world. The Stronghold (tm) web server
from C2.net protects your message on the way to our web site, providing
military grade encryption to your information in transit," declared Mr.
Cottrell. "Once the message enters the Mixmaster network, it is
protected by Triple-DES and 1024 bit RSA cryptography. Keys of that
length are completely unbreakable using current or foreseeable
technology."
The Mixmaster network thrives due to a cooperative effort by about
fifteen server operators world-wide. Mixmaster encrypts messages into
identical, unreadable pieces, then distributes them separately, after
random delay, into the cloud of servers. Decoy messages keep the cloud
in a chaotic, stormy state. The decoys, traded between servers in the
cloud, cannot be distinguished from the real messages. The noise and
random delay of separate pieces prevent time correlation between the
sending of a message and its receipt. Each piece goes a different
direction after a random wait, but eventually the pieces of the message
reach an outlet point, where they are decrypted, converted to standard
e-mail, and sent to the addressee. They arrive without a trace of the
identity of the sender.
Anonymizer Inc. knows the possibility for abuse of the system exists,
just like postal mail and public telephone booths. Anonymous e-mail can
be blocked if not desired, a great advantage over unlabeled postal mail.
We block addresses from our local Mixmaster remailer server upon
request. Anonymizer Email also uses sophisticated filters to detect and
prevent abuses of the system.
Sailing full ahead into third millennium communication, Anonymizer, Inc.
offers the best anonymous web surfing service available, and trumpets an
expanding line of services. With its sister companies, Infonex Internet, Inc.
and Obscura, it provides access to the most advanced security, anonymity,
and privacy in the Internet world. The flagship Anonymizer Surfer appeared
in CNN, NPR, US News Online, Money, Time, and many other news sources, all
in the last six months. Anonymizer Email -- only the latest in
comprehensive anonymity from Anonymizer, Inc.
