Q: What is an Affiliate?
A: An Affiliate is someone who brings new web surfers to the Anonymizer.
In exchange for spreading the word about online privacy, the Affiliate is paid
for each person she/he brings to our site. An Affiliate could be anyone: a webmaster,
a web surfer, or anyone who is interested in keeping the web safe from intrusions
of privacy. (back to top)
Q: Who subscribes to
the Anonymizer?
A: We receive subscriptions from people in almost every category.
Many individuals use the Anonymizer for general surfing and web research so
that their interests are not tracked. For example, an Anonymizer user investigating
a health problem has no fear that the activity will be recorded and made available
to her/his insurance company. People use the Anonymizer to visit sites heavy
with profit motive or conflicting intent, such as the website of a competitor.
As webmasters become more savvy and web users become more concerned, we find
that more varying groups are using our service. Because we require very little
information from our subscribers and do not track them individually, this information
comes from conversations, emails, and other market research. (back

Q: How much will I get
paid?
A: The amount we pay an Affiliate depends on the number of subscribers referred
to our site. For instance, if one hundred people click the Anonymizer button
on Jane Doe's site each day, and only ONE per day of those signs up for our
least expensive surfing account, Jane will earn about $135 U.S. dollars per
month. If Jane refers other Affiliates to us, and brings in more subscribers,
this number can increase drastically. If Jane brings in ten Affiliates as successful
as she, her monthly payment will double. There are many ways to increase the
chances of a subscription, such as prominent button placement and textual support.
These tips are covered in our Members section. You can always check your account
balance in our Members section. (back to

Q: When will I get paid?
A: The Anonymizer issues checks once per month to the Affiliates whose balances
exceed $100. If an Affiliate has not yet earned $100, her/his balance is carried
over to the next month. In our Members section, you can always check your account
balance. (back to top)
Q: Is there a risk involved?
A: There is no financial risk or cost to becoming an Affiliate, aside from the
witholding of federal tax. If at any time you wish to terminate your account,
simply email our support staff.

Q: How do I add the Anonymizer
link to my site?
A: All you need to do is insert our prepared HREF tag into the html
of your web page. It is very important that these tags contain your Comarketer
ID (CMid); otherwise you won't receive payment for the subscription or
the new affiliate account. This process is explained in detail in our
Members section. We have created many buttons
and banners that increase the chances of a click. If you don't wish to
use these, you can simply create a textual link to the Anonymizer. (back

Q: Where can I get an
Anonymizer button or banner?
A: We offer a selection of banners and buttons in our Members
section, both to help you attract new subscribers and to attract new Affiliates.
If you wish to create your own, great! However, please email
it to us for approval before posting it on your site. (back

Q: How do I get commissions
from my friends' Anonymizer accounts?
A: By emailing a specific web address to your friends, they can get you
your commission by simply following the link. The web address must contain
your Comarketer ID (CMid). This process is explained in our Members
section. (back to top)
Q: How can I best encourage
people to subscribe?
A: There are many methods to increasing subscriptions to our site.
An attractive graphic or button goes a long way to drawing a user's attention.
The larger and more prominently placed, the higher the likelihood of a
click. A short textual description or even a feature on the Anonymizer
has a huge effect on attention to the link and subscriptions. We detail
these methods in our Members section. (back

Q: I lost my CoMarketer
ID (CMid) or password, how can I get it?
A: Contact our support staff,
and we will help you out. (back to top)
