Cookie Configuration Instructions

As a last resort for browsers which are not compatible with Anonymizer and turn off proxies and use a direct connection to the Internet, we will use a cookie to let the Anonymizer keep track of your username and password. This is, to our knowledge, only a problem with the AOL browser.

If you already tried the cookie authentication on the previous screen, and it didn't work, then chances are, you need to turn cookies on in your browser. Here's the Windows95 instructions:

  1. Open "My Computer" on your desktop.
  2. Open the "Control Panel" folder.
  3. Open "Internet".
  4. Click on the "Advanced" tab in the internet properties window.
  5. Scrool down to "cookies".
  6. Select "Always accept cookies" from the list.
  7. Click "O.K." at the bottom the the internet properties window.

We tested this with AOL and it works, but if you still encounter trouble, send e-mail to support for help.
