The Handy Anonymizer Guide

ANONYMIZER WEB SURFING: Anonymizer Surfing prevents web sites from tracking you and from accessing sensitive information in your browser. The Anonymizer acts as an agent between you and the site you want to view. You go to the Anonymizer, then the Anonymizer goes off in the network to find the page you wish to view, and then the Anonymizer shows you the page. It acts as a security screen between you and the web site page.

FREE TRIAL: A free trial service is available. To use the Anonymizer Surfing free trial service simply type in a web page address (URL) into the box at the top of the page. The Anonymizer free trial will display that page for you, anonymized, after a delay. Simply click "GO" to reach a hotlist of the most commonly used destinations.

The pay Anonymizer Surfing service works in a similar way, but without a delay, and does not display banner advertisements before it displays the page you requested. Click here to sign up for an Anonymizer Surfing account. The cost is only 14.99 usd per three months.

PAID ACCOUNT: To use the pay Anonymizer Surfing service just type the address (URL) of the site you wish to visit into the box at the top of the page. You will be asked for your username and password. Simply click "GO" to reach a hotlist of the most commonly used destinations.

PROBLEMS: Problems using Anonymizer Surfing may be caused by one or a combination of several problems. The Internet is a mish-mash of many network companies, and often, problems on the network will interfere and even stop network traffic. Multiple network problems between you and the Anonymizer or between the Anonymizer and the site you want to view are cumulative -- that is, a half-dozen instances of very minor problems along the physical path to the site you want to read can make the site unusable. See the Internet Weather Report, a trademark of MIDS, for an up-to-date report on problems in the major network service providers in the USA.

DEFINITIONS, TERMS AND CONFIGURATION SETTINGS: The terminology of encryption and privacy protection is necessarily complex. See list of useful terms for help. For advised configuration settings, click here.

OUR FAQ: If you have more questions about Anonymizer Surfing, use the support contact form to check the answers to Frequently Asked Questions. You can also use the support contact form to communicate with the Anonymizer technical support department.

Anonymizer Email

IT'S EASY: To use Anonymizer Email, type an e-mail address, subject, and an e-mail message into the boxes provided on the e-mail form. The message will not be transmitted immediately. Mixmaster ensures anonymity with reshuffling of message order and random time delays to make the traffic so confusing it cannot be analyzed. Also, anonymous remailers are not 100% reliable. Anonymizer Email does, however, choose chaining remailers with 98% or better reliablility at the time you send your message.
