Anonymizer-Preferences: Introduction & Description

Preferences are no longer available.

Preferences beta testing is now complete. Given user feedback, we are preparing to make the final revision for a full release.

Why Preferences?
We acknowledge that many sites require settings such as Java, JavaScript and Cookies to be enabled in order to function properly. These settings can reveal important information about visitors to the site. Anonymizer-Prefer ences limit the information that will be revealed by allowing the user to personally enable/disable these settings on a per-website basis.

Sometimes it is difficult to discern which settings to enable for a specific website to function properly. The more robust sites will display messages telling you to enable the required settings. We will shortly be compiling a list of the more popular sites available and some of the settings they require. (E.g.: Hotmail requires cookies).
