Proxy Configuration Instructions - Internet Explorer 5.x

Follow the instructions below to configure proxy authentication for Internet Explorer 5.x:

Select "Tools" from the toolbar at the top of the browser frame and click on "Internet Options":
In the "Internet Options" sub-window that appears, click on the "Connections" tab.

If the "Settings buttons is not highlighted, you need to set up a New Connection. For instructions on how to do this click here. If the "Settings" button is hightlighted, follow the procedure below:

In the "Dial-up Settings" section click on the "Settings" button.

In the "Proxy Server" section, click the checkbox that says "Access the Internet using a Proxy Server" and click on the "Advanced" button.

Another subwindow appears named "Proxy Settings". In the "Servers" Section, with the HTTP type, enter anon-ascella.proxy.anonymizer.com into the "Address of proxy to use" text box and enter 80 in the "Port" text box.

Next time you visit a website, the browser will prompt you to enter in your Anonymizer username and password when you next visit a website.

If at any time you don't want to use the Anonymizer as a proxy server just uncheck the box that says "Access the Internet using a Proxy Server". No other changes are necessary.
