Anonymizer Dial-up Connection Instructions - Windows 95

Changing the Numbers in the Network Control Panel

    1. Open My Computer. Open Control Panel. Open Network. Make sure you see "Client for Microsoft Networks", "Dial-up Adapter", and "TCP/IP" in the list of network components.
    2. Add these components using the Add button if you do not see them.  To install Client for Microsoft Windows you must select Client and then click Add.  Then you must select Microsoft and Client for Microsoft Windows and click OK.

    3. After returning to the Network Window select TCP/IP and click Properties, then check the following:
    4. Under WINS Configuration, click Disable WINS Resolution.
    5. Under Gateway, make sure no gateways appear in the list.
    6. Under IP Address, select "Obtain an IP address automatically".
    7. Under DNS Configuration, enable DNS. Enter "ppp" in the Host box and "anonymizer.com" in the Domain box. In the DNS Server Search Order box, enter 209.75.197.2 and click Add, then enter 209.75.197.3 and click Add.
    8. Click OK at the bottom of the Network Control Panel. Restart your computer for the new settings to take effect.
When your computer starts back up, try to connect to the Internet using the new "Anonymizer" Dial-up networking icon.
