TurboLinux 6.0 Workstation: A First Look

Introduction

Some time ago, I took a look at TurboLinux 4.0 Lite; now that TurboLinux was kind enough to send me their latest and greatest products (TurboLinux 6.0 Workstation and Server (which will be covered in a subsequent review)) I had to see how TurboLinux has evolved.

[I wish to thank TurboLinux for providing review copies of TurboLinux 6 Workstation and Server]

The fist thing I noticed about the package was its heft; which implied that a sizable manual was included - I was not disappointed.

The front of the package claimed "FASTEST and EASIEST INSTALLATION YET!" and stated that the package includes:
  • 60 days of installation support
  • System Commander Deluxe
  • Netscape Communicator
  • more than 600 of the most popular Linux applications
  • Star Office from Sun Micro Systems
