good list but thought there would be much more and more devices geared
for tracking small children (those under 5). I am assumng that those
are not commercially produced I should have asked for that in the
question but thought it would be inluded in the list. Can you please
see if your answer could be more specific to this request.

Hi!
Usually researchers only work on the original premise and in this case
requirements for small children and even devices in the experimental
stage were not mentioned.
However, I still tried to find some products or even studies. But it
seems that there really isn't much out there at the moment. Maybe it
would be good to look into this in a few more months or years since at
the moment, the functional and even experimental technology is quite
limited.
Best Regards,

Thank you for understanding and for the generous tip! :)

this was a good list I was dissapointed at the level of technology in
the list which makes me suspicious that there is more hidden out their
given the fact the actual chip size for gos is quite small and thus a
smaller tracking device would be possible and desired by so many.
Perhaps a custom manufacuter.
