Internet Marketing Presentation Available for Download

I had the good fortune of being able to speak to the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce last week on the topic of "Internet Marketing". Several attendees have asked to get a copy of the presentation to share with others in their company. For a link to the powerpoint presentation, click here.

In this presentation, I spent about 10 minutes comparing the inner workings of the Internet to our phone system. Many people use the Internet every day, browsing websites, sending email, or chatting with friends and relatives through an instant messenger. However, very few actually understand how the Internet works and are lost when you talk about hosting, URLs, or search engines. Feedback after the meeting was very positive, several said the phone analogy was an excellent way to depict the complexities of the Internet in a very understandable way.
