It is pretty frustrating that Bush et al focused on some "stimulus" measures that aren't just ineffective, they have the potential to do a lot of damage in the long term. The only good news on this is that it's something the Democrats in 2004 should be able to make a lot of hay about, if they're not as incompetent as they were in 2000.
