Arlington, VA Aug 29, 2005 - Anonymizer®, Inc., the leading provider of online identity protection solutions, today announced that the company closed its highest revenue quarter to date. For the second quarter ending June 30, Anonymizer achieved an 82 percent increase over the same period last year. Additionally, year-to-date revenues represented a 71 percent increase over the first half of 2004. The increased sales figures, in conjunction with several strategic corporate initiatives, underscore Anonymizer's continued market success and leadership in online privacy and identity protection solutions.
Growth in Enterprise & Government Sectors
Anonymizer gained significant traction in the public sector as several government
agencies and systems integrators embraced Anonymizer technology solutions. Actual
enterprise and government sales results for the quarter surpassed forecasts
by 46 percent. Additionally, Anonymizer enjoyed a 342 percent increase in Q2
2005 enterprise and government sales, compared to enterprise and government
sales in Q2 2004. Anonymizer enterprise and government solutions enable non-attribution
services that ensure information integrity and online privacy.
Continued Strength in Consumer Sector
The consumer business continues to be strong, with millions of consumer users
worldwide. Anonymizer this quarter entered into a strategic alliance with Stealth
Ideas, Inc., which bundled the Anonymous Surfing™ technology into the
StealthSurfer II USB drive. The product, which enables users to surf the Internet
safely from any location, was launched in the same quarter. In addition, Anonymizer
consumer products now offer protection from continually evolving Internet threats,
such as evil twins, phishing scams, and pharming attacks.
New Executive Strengthens Management Team
Howard Greco, vice president of federal sales, recently joined Anonymizer to
manage the growth and expansion of Anonymizer government sales. Greco brings
more than twenty years of experience in the software and telecommunications
industries where he successfully led federal sales organizations. Prior to joining
Anonymizer, he served as the vice president of federal sales at Intelliseek,
where he grew annual revenues 300 percent. At Autonomy, Greco served as the
US regional vice president and was responsible for achieving 150 percent of
the company’s sales quota.
"Building our management team with a seasoned expert in the public sector is a critical milestone for Anonymizer as we expand into the government market," said Bill Unrue, CEO, Anonymizer. "Howard Greco has a proven track record in ramping government sales and building mutually beneficial relationships with systems integrators. This addition to the Anonymizer executive team has already had a positive impact on the company."
Strategic Alliances Accelerate Deployments
Anonymizer and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), a leading global information
technology services company, joined forces to deliver identity protection and
information assurance solutions to the Federal government. The companies are
currently pursuing ENCORE, a government contract that provides technical solutions
for the Department of Defense and additional Federal agencies having similar
IT migration and integration needs. In addition, Anonymizer and CSC are collaborating
to deliver non-attribution services to government agencies conducting open source
intelligence.
