I. Introduction

Privacy Manager is a system for protecting your personal information while you use the Web. It works in the background, watching over all the Web surfing you do and making sure only the information you want gets through to the Web sites.

Privacy Manager runs in the background, even when you don't see the Privacy Manager Window. It is designed to run all the time no matter what sites you are visiting.

Because you may trust some sites more than others, you can set one Privacy Level to be the default (Global Setting) and then set a different Privacy Level for certain sites that you either trust more (like your bank) or less (like a gambling Web site).

Privacy Manager will automatically apply the appropriate Privacy Level to the particular site you are visiting.

Many sites connect you to one or more other web sites behind the scenes. You many not see this happening, but Privacy Manager will automatically detect this and apply the correct protections to each connection.

Privacy Manager also tracks all the threats to your privacy so you can see what sites are most dangerous, and how many threats are out there.
