Every time you load a page from the web your browser passes information about you to that site. The sites you visit can also place information on your computer that allows online advertisers and site administrators to track your browsing habits. This exchange occurs unseen by you as you surf and creates serious privacy and security issues. Anonymizer's Surfing Service prevents this exchange of your information from being carried out.

The Anonymizer does this by acting as a "middleman" between you and the site you want to visit. When you use our service, your web page requests are sent to our proxy servers. The proxies then go out and get the page in your place. Since we get the page, the web site gets our information instead of yours. Before returning the page to you, we expunge technology from it that poses a potential threat to your anonymity (e.g., Javascript). Only then, once the page has been made safe, do we send it on for you to view.
