With Anonymizer Nyms, all of the emails from your “Nyms” accounts are silently integrated into one of your current personal email accounts, thus protecting your true identity.

Using Nyms, you are able to look at the emails coming from each source and choose to disable them, thus making them inaccessible to any source that has been given or sold that “Nym” address. If you begin receiving unwanted spam from any Nym at any time, you can simply disable it for good or have it expire on a preset date, with the option to reactivate it at any time in the future. With Anonymizer Nyms, you’re in control by keeping your private email and personal identifiable information off of unwanted spam lists.

No, when you mark these emails as Spam you are actually reporting the nyms.net domain as Spam. This increases the chance of Nyms then being caught in a Spam filter and possibly being blocked entirely.

First you set up click on Preferences and enter and confirm the email address you would like to receive the email sent to the Nyms addresses you create. Then, you Create a nym and provide it as an email address or Send an anonymous email through the Nyms Web site, www.nyms.net, or the Nyms application.

Use the Reply feature and the reply email address will be populated with a tag routing the email through the Nyms server. This will ensure the reply has your Nyms address rather than your normal email address.

Please ensure that your email does not automatically provide your name or a signature when replying.

Log on to www.nyms.net with your username and password. The Web site offers the same features as the software and can be accessed from any computer.

The maximum active Nyms allowed is 1000.

It is not possible to completely delete a Nym as this would create a security risk if the Nym was selected by another customer and received your email. Please disable the Nym instead.

Click on Preferences and ensure that your email address is not in Pending status. If it is pending please click on update and enter the email address to receive your Nyms. You will then receive a confirmation email to this address that you will need to click on before you are able to use Nyms.

You can use this to keep your identity private when sending emails. This is a great way to protect your personal email address. For example, you may want to comment on an article or request information without revealing your actual name, email address or location. For example, a member of the Democratic Party wants to post on a blog or forum referencing a Republican opinion does not want their real name or email address posted.

Not only does AnoNYMizer contain the term it also is short for pseudonym. A pseudonym is a fictitious name or pen name.

The different addresses will not be able to be set up as different email accounts. If your primary email address is set up in Outlook you can set up rules to sort each Nyms address to a different folder.

If you use the Nyms Web site or the software there will not be a record of the Anonymous email message sent unless you send a copy of the message to your personal email address. These messages are not saved on our server.

The Nyms server IP address will be given. This adds further anonymity as the location of the server will not be that of your location, Internet Service Provider, or email domain.

It is not possible to send to more than one address at a time.

When sending to a Nyms email address, please use the address in the "To" field. The Nyms servers do not recognize "cc" fields.

The Web site, www.nyms.net, will send a Nyms email message with an attachment up to 5 MB. A reply sent to a Nyms email address supports attachments up to 2 MB.
