Cannot Update or Install Anonymizer Universal

Error Message

• Invalid Argument
• The attempted operation is not supported for the type of object referenced.

Resolution

Please follow the steps below:

Windows XP

• Click on “Start” and Select “Run.”
• Type “cmd” (without the quotations marks) into the Run box and hit the enter key on your keyboard.
• Type “netsh winsock reset” (without the quotations marks) and press “Enter.”
• Restart your computer.

Windows Vista/7/8

• Click on the Windows icon (Start Menu).
• In the “Start Search” field type “cmd” (without the quotations marks.)
• Before clicking enter key on your keyboard type Ctrl+Shift+Enter to elevate your Privileges.
• Select “Yes.”
• Type “netsh winsock reset” (without the quotations marks) and press Enter.
• Restart your computer.
