Step 1
With Thunderbird open select the menu options from the upper right hand corner and go to “options”

From options please click “Account Settings.”

From the Account Setting page, click Outgoing Server (SMTP), select the account in question, then select “Edit”

From the STMP Server menu select “None,” for Connection Security drop down.
