Installing or uninstalling Anonymizer Universal OpenVPN to your computer running Mac OS

InstallationInstalling Anonymizer Universal on your Mac® is quick-and-easy. Simply follow these steps.

Step 1Top ↑

Go to “My Downloads” within your account on the Anonymizer website and “Save” the “Anonymizer_Universal_ 1.2.dmg” Disk Image file to your Desktop.

Double-click on “Anonymizer_Universal_ 1.2.dmg.”

Step 3Top ↑

Drag the “Anonymizer Universal” icon to the “Applications” folder on the right, and then double-click on the “Applications” folder to begin the installation process.

Double-click on the Anonymizer Universal icon within the “Applications” window.

Select “Open”

Step 6Top ↑

A second box will appear. Select “Always Allow.”

Enter your Mac username and password to allow the installation to proceed and select “OK”.

Step 8Top ↑

Review the Anonymizer Universal End-User License Agreement (EULA). Once you have finished, select “Yes”.

Step 9Top ↑

Select “Connect” to access Anonymizer’s secure servers.

Step 10Top ↑

Enter your Anonymizer Account “Username” and “Password”. Be sure to check the “Save to Keychain” box and select “Save”. Click the following link if you need to recover your password. https://www.anonymizerproxy.com/consumer/recover_uname_pass.html

Step 11Top ↑

You will receive the message “Connecting” as your connection is established with the Anonymizer servers. You will see new messaging throughout this process.

Step 12Top ↑

The status will now read “Protected”. The anonymous IP address displayed is the Anonymizer IP address issued for that day. The Anonymizer Universal icons on your screen and in your computers dock will turn blue, indicating an anonymous and secure connection.

Removing ProfileRemoving Anonymizer Universal on your Mac® is quick-and-easy.

Step 1Top ↑

In the dock, right click on Anonymizer Universal and select “Quit”.

Step 2Top ↑

Open your “Applications” folder and locate “Anonymizer Universal” then drag it to the trash.
