TURNING THE TOOLBAR ON & OFF
When you turn the Toolbar ON, your surfing is automatically sent through our special Privacy Servers. There we rewrite the pages you want to see, shielding your unique IP address and removing or filtering privacy threats like Cookies, Web Bugs, JavaScript and more. SECURITY SETTINGS Normal Setting: The default Security Setting for the Anonymizer Privacy Toolbar is Normal. With Normal selected, you will have a level of privacy and security that's more than sufficient for general Web surfing, with minimal problems accessing Web pages. Maximum Setting: Selecting Maximum activates the highest level of privacy and security Anonymizer can provide. Because the Maximum setting blocks a number of common Web elements, like Cookies and JavaScript, there may be a small number of Web pages you visit that do not load or function properly. If you encounter one of these, you can usually fix the problem by changing your setting to Normal for the page in question. Custom Settings: To configure your own settings, click "Set Custom" on the Privacy Toolbar. The "Anonymizer Privacy Settings" window will open, where you can choose from the long list of options and features. Once you are done, click "Save Changes & Close" to save your custom settings. |
Moving the Privacy Toolbar in Internet Explorer
The following steps may be necessary if the Privacy Toolbar has moved or displaced your other IE toolbars (like your Links bar, for example) and you want to put them back to their original position.
