About the Standard Privacy Toolbar Settings and Features



STANDARD SETTINGS
  • The Privacy Toolbar features two standard settings (Normal and Maximum) and a Custom setting. The different settings (Normal, Maximum and Custom) can be activated by first clicking on the "Set Custom" button located on the Privacy Toolbar and then clicking on either the "Normal," "Maximum," or "Custom" button on the Privacy Settings page. The active setting appears in red.

  • The Privacy Toolbar default setting is Normal. The following features apply to the Normal setting:

    SSL Encryption Off
    URL Encryption Off
    Safe Cookies On
    Banner Ad Filtering Off
    Hide Page Titles Off
    Referrer Blocking On
    OS Shielding Off


  • The following features apply to the Maximum setting:

    SSL Encryption On
    URL Encryption On
    Safe Cookies Off
    Banner Ad Filtering On
    Hide Page Titles On
    Referrer Blocking On
    OS Shielding On
