Secure delete a file
Secure delete gives the user the capability to deleted files in a very secure way from the hard disk so that other people, who have access to your computer, can not re-construct a deleted file from your hard disk. Unfortunately, the way in which Microsoft deletes files from your hard disk doesn't actually deleted the data, but rather only removes the name of the file from your computer. Other users, or hackers, could use tools to view the content of those files - even if the name of the file no longer exists. This function removes all content of deleted files so that it is completed removed from your hard disk.
Secure delete free space on disk
Secure delete free space gives the user the capability to delete so-called "free space" on you computer. When files are deleted using Microsoft delete function, the file content is not deleted, but rather is marked as free space. People who have access to your hard disk can re-construct a deleted file from your hard disk by using tools used to view "free space". This function takes all "free space" on your hard disk and overwrites it with random data- and thus removes all content of deleted files so that it is completed removed from your hard disk.
